§ 1-4-2 OFFICIAL BONDS.
   (A)   The officers mentioned in this section as well as any other officer or employee designated by Council shall furnish bonds, to be approved by Council, with some reliable surety company doing business in the state, approved by the Council, as surety thereon. The city shall bear the expense of the bonds. When two (2) offices are combined in one (1) person, only one (1) bond shall be required. The City Finance Director and all of his assistants, together with the chief of policy, shall be required to furnish bond under this section.
   (B)   Should any officer fail to give such bond, with good and sufficient sureties, within ten (10) days after notice to him from the City Council, his election or appointment shall be declared null and void and another election immediately ordered or appointment made.
