§ 4-7-2 PURPOSE.
   (A)   The purpose of a Wellhead Protection Program (WHPP) is the prevention of groundwater pollution. The basic goal is to protect water wells from contaminants that may have adverse effects on human health and community well-being.
   (B)   The City of Dillon recognizes the importance of identifying potential sources of contamination and implementing a strategy to avert loss of the public water supply. This Wellhead Protection Program will be implemented for that purpose.
