For purposes of interpretation and application, the provisions of this chapter shall be held to be minimum requirements. No provision of this chapter is intended to repeal, abrogate, annul, impair or interfere with any existing ordinance of the Village of Diamond, except as is specifically repealed by adoption of this chapter, provided that where any provision of this chapter imposes more stringent regulations, requirements or limitations than are imposed by any other ordinance of the Village of Diamond, or any applicable statute or regulation of the State of Illinois, then the provisions of this chapter shall govern.
