(A) The county building is located one block from Route 51 (city route) and is also adjacent to the ICG Railroad and within a five-miles radius of the Clinton Nuclear Power Station. Due to the close proximity to these traffic routes, the threat of a transportation hazardous materials incident is real.
(B) If a hazardous materials incident should occur near the building, the maintenance department will shut off all outside ventilation systems to prevent fumes from entering the building. All windows and doors should be closed.
(C) Recommendations for further protective actions will come from the Incident Commander at the scene. These recommendations will be based on information from the Clinton Fire Department, the County Sheriff and the County E.M.A.
(D) Should it be necessary to evacuate the building, exit procedures will be given by the Incident Commander.
