§ 52.095 NATIONAL POLLUTION DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM PERMIT.
   (A)   In accordance with the Private Sewage Disposal Code, all surface discharging private sewage disposal systems that enter the waters of the State of Illinois must receive a general National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit issued by the Illinois Environmental Health Protection Agency (IEPA) or United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA).
   (B)   A representative of the Health Department will conduct an evaluation of the site prior to the NPDES application submission to determine if a conventional system or aeration system is feasible.
   (C)   Systems permitted under the general NPDES permit shall be in compliance with the terms and conditions of the permit.
   (D)   A permit application along with the NPDES permit must be submitted to the Health Department prior to installation.
