§ 150.11 ACCURATE RURAL REFERENCE AND ROAD NAME SIGNS.
   (A)   Signs reflecting the rural reference numbers and road names in the unincorporated area of the county shall be erected and maintained at each intersection of roads in the unincorporated area of the county. The initial cost of materials needed to install or upgrade a sign installation in the county due to the adoption of this chapter or due to the carrying out of any of the provisions it contains shall be borne by ETSB. The standards for sign installation and the applicable materials shall be maintained by the County Highway Department. The County Highway Department shall coordinate with all other applicable highway authorities to ensure proper sign installation in cases where it is necessary to change a sign installation due to the adoption of this chapter or due to the carrying out of any of the provisions it contains.
   (B)   The rural reference and road name sign installations shall meet the following minimum criteria.
      (1)   A sign or signs shall be visible at every road intersection in the unincorporated area of the county.
      (2)   The rural reference number shall appear above the road name.
      (3)   All components of the road names, including directionals and suffixes shall be visible on the signs.
      (4)   The road name shall be displayed identically on all signs along the course of a given road.
      (5)   The road name displayed on the signs along the course of a given road shall be an accurate representation of the actual road name as recorded in the county database and the ETSB database.
      (6)   The face of the sign shall parallel the road to which the information applies.
   (C)   Discrepancies between existing sign installations and the minimum criteria listed herein shall be reported to the County Highway Department. The County Highway Department shall coordinate with the respective highway authorities for corrective action of all reported discrepancies.
