§ 31.15 NUMBER OF DEPUTIES PERMITTED IN SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT.
   (A)   The Sheriff’s Department shall be allowed to have a maximum of 15 full-time deputies. The Sheriff may employ as many part-time deputies as he/she sees fit in consideration of budgetary constraints.
   (B)   For purposes of jurisdiction, any deputy employed part time shall be considered called upon to render aid within the entirety of DeWitt County at all times regardless of being on shift at the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office or with his/her primary agency pursuant to ILCS Ch. 725, Act 5, § 107-4(a-3). Any officer employed part time shall have authority as if he was a full time deputy for purposes of jurisdiction, regardless of his current superior officer for that shift and regardless of which law enforcement agency uniform he is currently wearing.
