(A) A Merit Commission for Sheriff’s personnel is hereby established pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Sheriff’s Merit System Act, as set forth in ILCS Ch. 55, Act 115.
(B) The Sheriff’s Office Merit Commission shall consist of five members. Members of the Commission shall receive $25 per diem compensation and shall be allowed reimbursement for reasonably and necessary expenses.
