2-2-2: JURISDICTION AND AUTHORITY:
The PZB is hereby vested with the following jurisdiction and authority:
   A.   To hear and decide appeals from any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the zoning administrator pursuant to the zoning ordinance.
   B.   To hear and pass upon applications for variations from the terms of the zoning ordinance not within the jurisdiction of the zoning administrator or the city council, and any other matters referred to it or upon which it is required to pass pursuant to the zoning ordinance.
   C.   Hear and make recommendations to the city council on applications for amendments to the zoning ordinance and to the zoning map, variations from the zoning ordinance within the jurisdiction of the city council, conditional uses, planned unit developments, localized alternative sign regulations, and any other matters referred to it pursuant to the zoning ordinance.
   D.   Hear and decide upon applications for subdivisions in the manner and subject to the standards set forth in the subdivision regulations of this code.
   E.   Recommend to the city council changes in or updates to the city's comprehensive plan that are in the public interest; give aid and advice to the officials of the city charged with the direction or projects embraced within the comprehensive plan; and generally to promote the realization of the comprehensive plan.
   F.   Exercise such other powers germane to the powers now or that may hereafter be granted or as may be conferred by the city council.
   G.   To adopt rules of procedure for the PZB's meetings and hearings not in conflict with state law or this code; provided, however, that such rules of procedure must be ratified by the city council. (Ord. Z-29-15, 10-5-2015)
