In addition to the other qualifications required by the city code or any statute in such case made and provided, no person shall be appointed as a member of any commission or board of this city or be allowed to hold such office, unless said person is a resident of the city, except that a person not a resident of the city may serve on any commission or board upon a favorable vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all aldermen. The term of any duly appointed nonresident member shall be of the same duration as it would had a resident been appointed to the particular office. (Ord. M-49-94, 7-5-1994)
