13-3-1: IMPROVEMENT OF ROADWAYS:
The subdivider shall improve all streets within or adjacent to the subdivision with curb, gutter and pavement at his own expense in accordance with the following requirements: (Ord. M-21-78, 7-3-1978)
   A.   Residential And Commercial Streets: The minimum width of the roadway so improved shall be twenty eight feet (28') back to back of curb, except those streets designated by the planning and zoning board as major streets, which major streets shall have a minimum width of thirty four feet (34'). Cul-de-sacs shall have a minimum roadway radius of forty five feet (45'). (Ord. M-13-85, 2-18-1985; amd. Ord. Z-29-15, 10-5-2015)
   B.   Industrial Streets: The minimum width of the roadway for industrial streets as measured back to back of curb shall be twenty eight feet (28'). Major streets, when so designated by the planning and zoning board, shall have a minimum width of thirty four feet (34') as measured back to back of curb. (Ord. M-21-78, 7-3-1978; amd. Ord.    C.   Conformance With State Regulations: Design of residential and industrial streets shall conform with section 7, pavement design, of the design manual, Illinois department of transportation, bureau of design, latest issue. Calculations and information as required by said section 7, pavement design, shall be submitted to the city engineer for review and approval. Permitted base course materials are limited to portland cement concrete, bituminous aggregate mixture and aggregate base course type B only. Permitted surface course materials are limited to class I bituminous concrete binder and surface courses with a marshall stability of one thousand seven hundred (1,700) only. All methods of construction shall conform to the state of Illinois "Standard Specifications For Road And Bridge Construction", latest issue. (Ord. M-63-83, 12-5-1983)
