10-6-2: AMENDMENTS TO THE INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE:
The 2015 International Fuel Gas Code, adopted and incorporated by reference pursuant to this chapter, is hereby amended, in relevant part, to read as set forth in this section. Subsequent section numbers used in this section refer to the like numbered sections of, or new sections added to, the 2015 International Fuel Gas Code. Whenever a conflict arises between the provisions of the 2015 International Fuel Gas Code and the amendments set forth in this section, the following amendments will control: (Ord. [A] 101.1 Title.
These regulations shall be known as the fuel gas code of the city of Des Plaines, hereinafter referred to as "this code."
[A] 101.2.1 Appendices.
Provisions in the appendices shall not apply unless specifically adopted. Appendices A, B, and C are hereby adopted.
[A] 106.6.2 Fee Schedule.
The fees charged by the city for all fees required by this code are set forth in chapter 13 of title 10 of the Des Plaines city code.
[A] 106.6.3 Fee Refunds.
Permit fee refunds shall be made in accordance with chapter 13 of title 10 of the Des Plaines city code.
[A] 108.4 Failure To Comply.
Any person who fails to comply with any requirements of this code; erects, installs, alters or repairs work in violation of the approved construction documents, a directive of the code official, or a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code; or continues any work after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be in violation of this code. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.

[A] 108.5 Stop Work Orders.
Upon the issuance of a stop work order from the code official that work is being done contrary to the provisions of this code or in a dangerous or unsafe manner, such work shall immediately cease. Stop work orders shall be issued in accordance with section 10-14-3 of the Des Plaines City Code.
