A. All bidders selected by the city to perform construction work that is subject to the Illinois public construction bond act, 30 Illinois Compiled Statutes 550/0.01 et seq., must, before the commencement of any work, submit to the city a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond that each comply with the requirements of the Illinois public construction bond act, as this act may be amended from time to time.
B. All other bidders, vendors, contractors, and consultants selected by the city must, before commencing performance under any contract with the city, submit to the city a performance security and a labor and material payment security if and when required by, and in accordance with, the purchasing policy.
