7-10-7: SUSPENSION OF DRIVING PRIVILEGES:
   A.   Purpose: The purpose of this section is to establish a procedure for notification to the secretary of state of driver's license suspensions authorized by 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/6-306.5.
   B.   Notification By Chief Of Police: The chief of police, or his designee, shall notify any person who has failed to satisfy any fine or penalty imposed by final judgment for ten (10) or more violations of city ordinances regulating standing, parking or compliance regulations, and after exhaustion of judicial review procedures, that failure to pay the fine or penalty owing within forty five (45) days of the date of notice will result in the city clerk notifying the secretary of state that the person's driver's license is eligible for suspension pursuant to 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/6-306.5.
   C.   City Clerk's Certified Report To Secretary Of State: The city clerk is hereby authorized, upon receipt of a report from the chief of police that a person notified pursuant to subsection B of this section has failed to pay fines or penalties imposed by final judgment, to make a certified report to the secretary of state. Said certified report shall state that the person named in said report has failed to satisfy the fines and penalties imposed by final judgments for ten (10) or more violations of the city's standing, parking and compliance ordinances within forty five (45) days of the date of notice pursuant to state statute and ordinance and after exhaustion of judicial review procedures.
