7-4-5: USE OF COASTERS, ROLLER SKATES, SIMILAR DEVICES:
   A.   No person upon roller skates, rollerblades, in-line skates, and similar devices or riding in or by means of any coaster, toy vehicle, or similar device, shall go upon any roadway except while crossing a street on a crosswalk.
   B.   No person shall ride in/upon roller skates, skateboards, rollerblades, in-line skates, coasters, toy vehicles, or similar devices upon any public street, sidewalk, curb, alley, parking garage, or parking lot located in the central business district as identified on the city official zoning map.    C.   No person shall use, operate or be in control of a motorized skateboard on a public or private street, parking lot, sidewalk, bike path or other area open to the public. Driving a motorized skateboard may be permitted on private property with the permission of the property owner, or in public or quasipublic areas where signs are posted permitting the motorized skateboard.
   D.   Any person found in violation of this section shall be fined not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than ten dollars ($10.00) for each violation. (Ord. T-5-01, 10-15-2001)
