Any weeds such as jimson, burdock, ragweed, thistle, cocklebur, or other weeds of a like kind, found growing in any lot or tract of land in the city are hereby declared to be a nuisance, and it shall be unlawful to permit any such weeds to grow or remain on any such place. The owner or person in control of any such lot or tract of land upon which such weeds are growing shall cut, pull or otherwise destroy such weeds at least monthly between May 1 and October 1 of each year.
