A. License Required: No person shall engage in the business of building contractor without first having obtained a license therefor.
B. Application: An application for a building contractor's license shall be made in conformity with the general requirements of this code relating to applications for license. In addition to the general license application requirements, persons seeking a contractor's license shall also provide the director of community and economic development with the following as part of their application submission:
1. The number of individual employees of the applicant which will be operating under such license,
2. The type of contracting activity for which a license is requested,
3. Proof that all licenses that the contractor is required to maintain are current and in good standing, and
4. A sworn statement that the applicant agrees to comply with this section and all other provisions of this code relating to or regulating the activities engaged in by said applicant.
All applications must be signed by a person who is authorized to make representations on behalf of and bind the business. (Ord. M-19-13, 10-7-2013)
