4-10-1: DEFINITIONS:
The following words and phrases as used in this chapter shall have the following meanings, unless a different meaning is required by the context:
BUILDING CONTRACTOR: Any person engaged in the business of constructing, altering or repairing buildings or other structures or sidewalks or street pavements, including, but not limited to: cement, concrete or paving contractors, masonry contractors, carpentry contractors, lathing contractors, electrical contractors, heating contractors, air conditioning or refrigeration contractors, plumbing or irrigation contractors, steamfitting contractors, house raising or shoring contractors, sheet metal contractors, glazing contractors, excavating contractors, sewer contractors, plastering contractors, drywall contractors, painting contractors, board up contractors, demolition, razing, shearing or moving contractors, landscaping contractors, snow removal contractors, roofing contractors, tuckpointing contractors, insulating contractors, and general contractors. Any person engaged in the construction, repair or alteration of any building, structure or street or sidewalk pavement within the city for which a building permit is required, is presumed to be a building contractor and must be licensed hereunder, unless such presumption is rebutted.
PERSON: Any individual, firm, association, partnership, corporation, limited liability company, trust, or other legal entity. (Ord. M-19-13, 10-7-2013)
