4-5-4: INSPECTION AND INVESTIGATION:
The city health officer shall make or cause to be made such investigation as is deemed necessary to determine whether the applicant's proposed food service vehicle and operations comply with all the provisions of this code relating to health, sanitation and food service vehicles and with all other applicable provisions of this code. No license shall be issued to any applicant whose proposed food service vehicle and operations do not comply with the applicable provisions of this code. The city health officer shall indicate on the application for a license the results of the investigation and approval or disapproval of said application.
The chief of police shall make or cause to be made such investigation as he deems necessary including the fingerprinting of the applicant and each vehicle operator to determine whether the applicant is qualified to engage in business. No license shall be issued to any applicant who does not comply with the applicable requirements of this code. The chief of police shall indicate on the application for a license the results of his investigation, and his recommendation to approve or deny said application. In addition to any other fees assessed in this chapter, a fee in the amount set forth in section 4-18-1 of this title per person shall be paid by the applicant to cover the cost of said background check.
