The purpose of this chapter is to promote the general health, safety, and welfare of the city and its residents by identifying and registering all places of business located within the city. The city requires the general registration of all places of business to ensure the efficient delivery of city services, including police, fire, and emergency medical services, and to promote compliance with all zoning, building, fire, and health codes and any other applicable ordinances and regulations.
