(A) Seasonal rates. Summer rates shall be for usage during the months of June through September and winter rates shall be for usage during the months of October through May.
(1) Residential services.
(a) Availability: Available to all single-family residences and individually metered apartments for all domestic purposes when all service is supplied through a single meter. Not applicable to resale, stand-by or auxiliary service.
(b) Character of service: AC, 60 Hertz, single-phase, at any of the city’s standard voltages where the service may be supplied by a single power transformation.

(b) Character of service: AC, 60 Hertz, single-phase, at any of the city’s standard voltages where the service may be supplied by a single power transformation.

(d) Minimum bill: The sum of the customer charge and energy charge.
(B) Due date. All bills are due and payable on the first day of the month following the meter reading and are delinquent after the close of business on the twentieth day of the month.
(C) Late penalty. There shall be a 10% penalty applied to all accounts to which this section is applicable that are unpaid as of the close of business on the twentieth day of the month following the billing period.
(D) Residential reconnection. A reconnect fee, in the amount of $50, shall be charged to any residential customer who has had electric utility service disconnected for nonpayment of charges. Electrical service shall not be reconnected until the reconnect fee of $50 is paid, together with the charges due up to and including the date of disconnection.
(E) Commercial reconnection. A reconnect fee, in the amount of $100, shall be charged to any commercial customer who has had electric utility service disconnected for nonpayment of charges. Electrical service shall not be reconnected until the reconnect fee of $100 is paid, together with all charges due up to and including the date of disconnection.
(F) Cost of electricity. The rates set forth in all schedules are based on the cost of electricity purchased by the City Department of Municipal Utilities. The city reserves the right to increase the cost per kWh to compensate for any increase in the cost of electricity.
