§ 1-108 STATUS AS SECOND CLASS CITY.
   (A)   The population of the city has dropped below 800 citizens, as evidenced in the 2010 census.
   (B)   The Mayor and City Council have determined that it is in the best interest of the city to continue to operate as a city of the second class, as authorized by Neb. RS 17-310.
   (C)   The Mayor and City Council do hereby decide and determine to remain a city of the second class of the state.
   (D)   The Mayor shall certify this decision to the Secretary of State to formalize the continued status of the city as a city of the second class of the state.
