A. Purpose: The purpose of these regulations is to assure sites suitable for building purposes and human habitation; to provide for the harmonious development of the city; to provide adequate open spaces for traffic, recreation, light and air; and to provide proper distribution of population, in order to create conditions favorable to health, safety and general welfare of the citizens.
B. Applicable Laws: Authorization for the planning and zoning commission to adopt subdivision regulations is given in New Mexico Statutes Annotated section 3-19-5 et seq.
C. Applicability Of Regulations: These regulations shall apply to subdivisions within the limits of incorporation for the city. (Ord. 989, 2-8-1999)
