11-2-1: DEFINITION:
As used in this chapter, a "wind energy conversion system" (hereinafter called WECS) is defined as any device such as a wind charger, windmill or wind turbine, which converts wind energy to a form of usable energy. (Ord. 691, 1-11-1982)
