A violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is a penalty assessment misdemeanor pursuant to subsection 1-11-8C of this code, with the exception of a violation of subsection 7-2-3B of this chapter. In addition to such penalty, the Deming police department is authorized to cause any vehicle parked in violation of this chapter to be towed by a licensed tow operator at the expense of the owner of the vehicle.
