2-8-2: APPOINTMENTS; TERMS; VACANCIES:
The tourism development committee shall consist of five (5) members to be appointed, or dismissed, by the mayor with the consent of the city council. Two (2) members who are owners or operators of lodgings subject to the occupancy tax within the municipality, two (2) members who are owners or operators of industries located within the municipality that primarily provide services or products to tourists and one member who is a resident of the municipality and represents the general public. Three (3) members shall be appointed for a term of two (2) years after their initial appointment; and two (2) members shall be appointed for a term of one year for their initial appointment. All appointments thereafter shall be for two (2) years. All positions will be reconfirmed following a municipal election. (Ord. 1186, 5-11-2009)
