There is hereby created the Deming tourism development committee (TDC) of the city for the purpose of making recommendations to city council on expenditure of funds authorized under section 3-2-5 of this code for advertising, publicizing and promoting tourist attractions and facilities in the city and surrounding area and in conformance with New Mexico Statutes Annotated 3-38-22.
