The Mayor and Council shall provide for police protection adequate to the needs of the municipality to be administered by the Mayor in accordance with the directives of general laws of Ohio. The Mayor and Council may provide for auxiliary police.
The Chief of Police will be the Department Superintendent of the Police Department. The Administrator will be responsible for the budget and appropriations of the Police Department as shall be approved by Council and as authorized by this Charter.
