(a) Trees Protected Growing Within Right of Way. The trees growing within the right of way of the streets and highways in the Village shall be protected under the supervision of Council.
(b) Permission Required to Cut Down Trees. No tree shall be destroyed, cut down, removed, intentionally damaged, or intentionally killed without permission duly granted by Council.
(c) Emergency Removal. In case of an emergency, a tree may be removed upon the written consent of any three members of Council.

(d) Removal of Stumps of Cut Trees from Right of Way. The Village shall remove the stumps of all trees cut and removed by the Village, located between the curb line and sidewalk in the Village right of way.
