931.16 CAST IRON PIPE.
   (a)   Cast iron pipe shall be centrifugally cast, cement lined, conforming to ASA Specification A-21.6 or A-21.8, Class 150, with wall thickness Class 22 or the latest revision thereof. Cement lining shall be in accordance with Federal Specifications WW-P-421a for "Half- Thickness" or the latest revision thereof.
   (b)   Joints shall be rubber-gasket type and equal to Clow "Bell-Tite", U.S. C.I.P. "Tyson", American C.I.P. "Fastite", or an approved equal and shall be assembled in accordance with the manufacturer's directions.
   (c)   Pipe shall be blocked at bends, tees, and other fittings with class B concrete.
   (d)   Excavation, pipe, joints, testing, cleansing, sterilizing, and other work necessary to install the water lines shall be inspected and approved by the Superintendent of the Water Treatment Facilities.
