921.08 CONNECTION TO EITHER SANITARY OR COMBINED SEWER.
Sanitary wastewater and commercial wastes shall be discharged into a sanitary sewer whenever a sanitary sewer is available. If a sanitary sewer is not available, the sanitary wastewater shall be discharged into a combined sewer. In no event shall sanitary wastewater be discharged into a sewer which has been designated as a stormwater sewer. In all buildings in which any drain is too low to permit gravity flow to the proper public sewer, the wastewater, whether sanitary or stormwater, shall be lifted by pumps or other artificial means and discharged into the proper public sewer. Foundation drains shall be discharged on the ground if no storm sewer is available.
