171.01 PAYMENT OF FINES AND COSTS.

Any person against whom a fine or cost of prosecution has been levied or assessed by the Mayor for violation of State statutes or City ordinances, may, if he is unable to pay the same, perform work and labor for the City at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) per day. Such work and labor in the aforesaid amount shall be credited against the fine or cost.
