The Clerk shall cause all ordinances hereafter passed by the President and Board of Trustees, imposing any fine, penalty, imprisonment, or forfeiture, or making any appropriation, to be published once, and that within 30 days after their passage, in such public newspaper printed in said village, as the President and Trustees shall designate, and shall file and preserve in his or her office one or more copies of the paper, containing every ordinance so published.
