(A) A home occupation is any occupation or activity which is clearly incidental and secondary to use of the premises for dwelling purposes.
(B) A home occupation shall not employ more than one person who is not a member of the family residing on the premise.
(C) No home occupation shall intrude upon the residential character of the neighborhood in which it is located. An identification sign shall not be greater than 16 inches by 24 inches and shall be attached to the building. There shall be no other display that will indicate from the exterior that the building is being utilized in whole or in part for any purpose other than that of a dwelling. No activities or mechanical equipment shall be permitted which creates offensive noise, vibrations, heat, glare, odors, smoke or dust.
(D) When within the above requirements, a home occupation includes, but is not limited to, the following:
(1) Art studio;
(2) Dressmaking;
(3) Professional office of a physician, dentist, lawyer, engineer, architect, accountant, salesman, real estate agent, insurance agent, or other similar occupation;
(4) Teaching, with musical instruction limited to not more than two pupils at a time, and between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.;
(5) One barber or beauty chair;
(6) Repair shop for shoes, watches, bicycles, and similar items; and
(7) Day care home for no more than eight children, including the occupant’s natural or adopted children under age 18 and those who are in the home under full-time care.
