The portion of Brookside Boulevard in the 1000 Block lying south of Cottonwood Creek and adjacent to Lots 41 through 53 of Block 2 of the Brookside Addition to the city is hereby vacated and abandoned subject to an easement reserved by the city for the maintenance of flood control on Cottonwood Creek and the further reservation of a right-of-way over and across said abandoned property for police, fire and general protection of the public.
