All new construction requiring city water service shall be on a metered basis at the meter rate. The customer shall be required to pay for the meter which must be of a type suitable for the intended use and approved by the Public Works Director. The meter shall be protected from frost or other damage and located where it is easily accessible for reading purposes and repairs. The Public Works Director may require the installation of remote dials or registers to the exterior of the customer’s premises.
