(A) When a public sewer becomes available to a property served by a private wastewater disposal system, a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer within 90 days in compliance with this title, and any septic tanks, cesspools or similar private wastewater disposal facilities shall be cleaned of sludge, filled with suitable material and abandoned according to DEQ Chapter 4.
(B) (1) The Public Works Director will issue a written order for the connection requirement.
(2) This is the date that will be used to calculate the 90-day compliance timeline.
