(A) The County Sales Disclosure Fund is established.
(B) As provided by I.C. 6-1.1-5.5-4, the county’s portion of the revenue collected by the County Auditor from the fees paid by persons filing sales disclosure forms shall be deposited into the County Sales Disclosure Fund.
(C) As provided by I.C. 6-1.1-5.5-4, the county’s portion of the revenue collected by the County Auditor from penalties paid for failing to properly file sales disclosure forms shall be deposited into the County Sales Disclosure Fund.
(D) Money in the County Sales Disclosure Fund may only be expended for the following purposes as provided by I.C. 6-1.1-5.5-4.5:
(1) Administration of I.C. 6-1.1-5.5 (use of sales disclosure forms);
(2) Verification of the information contained on a sales disclosure form;
(3) Training of assessing officials; or
(4) Purchasing computer software or hardware for a property record system.
(E) The County Council shall appropriate the money in the County Sales Disclosure Fund for the purposes stated in division (D) above based on requests by assessing officials in the county.
