(A) Purpose. The purpose of this subchapter is to establish a second non-reverting operating fund for the Decatur Fire Department to be used for the purposes hereinafter established.
(B) Fund. There is hereby established a Decatur Fire Department Non-Reverting Smoke Detector Fund for collecting donations and expenditures for smoke detectors.
(C) Donations. Donations for smoke detectors shall be deposited into the Non-Reverting Operating Fund.
(D) Use of funds. Expenditures can be made from this fund by the city, without appropriation, for the purchases of smoke detectors. The monies of this fund shall be dispersed only upon claims approved by the Common Council of the City of Decatur.
