(A) Purpose. The purpose of this section is to establish a non-reverting fund for the Decatur Fire Department to be used for the purposes hereinafter established.
(B) Fund. There is hereby established a Decatur Fire Department Betty J. Walters Estate Non-Reverting Fund to accept bequests and devises from the Estate of Betty J. Walters.
(C) Donations. Donations received by way bequests and devises from the Estate of Betty J. Walters shall be deposited into the Non-Reverting Fund established herein.
(D) Use of funds. Expenditures can be made from this fund by the Decatur Fire Department, without appropriation, for equipment purchase needs. The monies of this fund shall be dispersed only upon submission of a claim by the Decatur Fire Department and approval by Common Council of the City of Decatur.
