17.04.250: PENALTIES:
Violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or failure to comply with any if its requirements shall constitute a misdemeanor. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter or failing to comply with any of its requirements, upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned in the County Jail not more than six (6) months, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that such violation or failure to comply continues shall be deemed a separate offense. Nothing herein contained shall prevent the Council or any other public official or private citizen from taking such lawful action as is necessary to restrain, abate or prevent any violation of, or failure to comply with, any provision of this chapter. Any person who attempts to violate any of the provisions of this chapter or attempts to fail to comply with any of its requirements, but fails, or is prevented or intercepted in the perpetration thereof is punishable by a fine of not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisonment in the County Jail of not more than three (3) months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
