13.16.110: DEWATERING TRENCHES:
   A.   The permittee shall pump, bail or otherwise remove any water which accumulates in trenches.
   B.   Dewatering trenches may be accomplished in any manner approved by the gas inspector.
   C.   Water shall not be permitted in trenches at any time during construction nor until backfilling over the top of the pipe has been completed unless otherwise specifically permitted by the Water Commissioner.
   D.   The groundwater level in trenches shall not be permitted to rise above an elevation of six inches (6") below the pipe.
   E.   The permittee shall perform all work necessary to keep the trenches clear of water while the foundations and the masonry are being constructed or the pipe laid. (Ord. 157 § 400, 1961)
