13.08.050: INSTALLATION TO WATER SYSTEM:
   A.   When the owner of any piece of property or his duly authorized agent, desires that the property has water supplied to it from the water system, the owner or agent shall notify the City Clerk of the desire, and shall describe to the Clerk the property to be so served.
   B.   The Clerk shall immediately notify the Water Commissioner and the Maintenance Department personnel who shall visit the property as soon as possible and shall lay out a line from the nearest and most accessible water main to the closest point on the property to be served with water.
   C.   Maintenance personnel shall install a corporation cock in the water main and lay a minimum three-fourths inch (3/4") pipe in the ditch from the main to the property line or seventy five feet (75'), whichever is less, and shall fit a shutoff cock on the end of the pipe at the property line, the pipe and corporation cock and shutoff cock to be furnished by the Water Department; provided, that when the distance from the main to the property line is greater than seventy five feet (75'), the pipe to be furnished by the water system may not be greater than seventy five feet (75'), and all extra pipe needed to reach the property may be furnished by the owner thereof. If any upgrade in the size of the pipe is desired by the property owner, the full amount of the cost of said upgrade shall be the responsibility of the property owner.
   D.   Nothing herein shall prevent the City Council from granting a variance to any provision of this chapter. (Ord. 358, 2011)
