12.04.090: PERMITTEE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES TO EXISTING INSTALLATIONS:

The permittee shall be wholly responsible for any damages incurred as a result of any excavation or street cut made, and it shall be the contractor's responsibility to check with the Commissioner of Streets for location of City water lines, sewer lines or any other utility installation lying within such streets or alleys. (Ord. 205 § 5(b), 1977)
