§ 150.23 CONFLICTS OF INTEREST.
   (A)   The purpose of this section is to satisfy the requirements of I.C. 36-1-27-4.
   (B)   As used in this section, "conflict of interest" means a direct or indirect financial interest in the issuance of a permit, pursuant to I.C. 36-1-27-1.
   (C)   As used in this section, "permit" has the meaning set forth in I.C. 36-7-4-1l09(b).
   (D)   A Building Commissioner, Building Code Official, or Inspector of Dearborn County, Indiana may not issue a permit or oversee the issuance of a permit through a subordinate if the Building Commissioner, Building Code Official, or Inspector has a conflict of interest.
   (E)   A Building Commissioner, Building Code Official, or inspector of Dearborn County, Indiana shall report a conflict of interest to the Dearborn County Attorney.
   (F)   Promptly upon notification of the conflict of interest, the Dearborn County Attorney shall notify the Building Inspector for the City of Greendale, Indiana of the conflict of interest and the need for the Building Inspector for the City of Greendale, Indiana to review and approve or deny the permit application.
   (G)   The Building Inspector for the City of Greendale, Indiana is hereby granted the authority to review Dearborn County, Indiana permit applications that are subject to this section in situations where a Building Commissioner, Building Code Official, or Inspector of Dearborn County, Indiana has a conflict of interest.
   (H)   This section shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Dearborn County Board of Commissioners.
