   COMMERCIAL OSDS. OSDS for a commercial facility.
   DISTRIBUTION BOX. Distribution box shall mean a device designed to equally distribute effluent by gravity from an inlet pipe to outlet pipes.
   DIVERTER DEVICE. A valve or device that directs effluent from one gravity soil absorption field to another gravity soil absorption field.
   DOSE TANK. A watertight structure into which septic tank effluent discharges for collection and pumping to a soil absorption field.
   DRAIN, INTERCEPTOR. A part of an OSDS subsurface drainage system that is used to control the seasonal high water table of the soil. It is designed to intercept and remove excess water from the soil on the upslope side of an OSDS soil absorption field.
   DRAIN, PERIMETER. The part of an OSDS subsurface drainage system that is used to control the season high water table of the soil. It is designed to surround an OSDS soil absorption field to intercept and remove excess water from the soil.
   DRAIN SEGMENT. That part of an OSDS subsurface drainage system that is used to control the seasonal high water table of the soil. It is installed between trenches in an OSDS soil absorption field, in conjunction with a perimeter drain, to intercept and remove excess water from the soil.
   DRAIN, SUBSURFACE OSDS. A subsurface drainage system that is used to control the seasonal high water table of the soil in an OSDS soil absorption field. OSDS subsurface drains include perimeter drains, interceptor drains, drain segments, and that portion of the subsurface drain up to the point of entry into an existing subsurface drain or to the point of surface discharge.
   EFFLUENT. Sewage that has received treatment from a septic tank, or other approved means, before treatment in the soil.

      (8)   Controls;
      (9)   Valves;
      (10)   Audiovisual alarms;
      (11)   Soil absorption fields;
      (12)   Dispersal area;
      (13)   Surface diversions; and
      (14)   OSDS subsurface drains.
   ON-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM (OSDS) INSTALLER. Any person engaged in the construction, installation, repair, or replacement of any component of an OSDS.
