(A) The minimum bond amounts to be required are found in § 150.63. For subdivisions, additional bonding requirements are required and information about subdivision bonding requirements can be found in Article 4 of the Dearborn County Subdivision Control Ordinance.
(B) If the Dearborn County Board of Commissioners determine that there is a higher risk to county infrastructure, or the permitted work is much larger or complex than normal permitted work, the Dearborn County Building Department reserves the right to recommend to the Dearborn County Board of Commissioners that the bond requirement be increased after reviewing the application for permit and before approving the permit. For large or complex projects, an engineer's estimate, to be reviewed and approved by the Dearborn County Engineer, may be requested to determine the bond amount. If there is a question, the applicant should contact a permit inspector.
