§ 32.006 MEMBERSHIP OF BOARD.
      (1)   Two members shall represent police departments of the county, and one of these shall be the County Sheriff. The other shall be nominated by the police chiefs of the various police departments in the county and submitted to the Commissioners for approval.
      (2)   Two members shall represent the Dearborn County Fire Chiefs Association, to be nominated by them and submitted to the Commissioners for approval.
      (3)   Two members shall represent county emergency medical providers consisting of life squads or other emergency medical care units organized in and providing services to the county, to be nominated by agreement of the captains or presidents of such units and submitted to the Commissioners for approval.
      (4)   One member shall be the Director of the Dearborn County Emergency Management Agency.
   (B)   The terms of the members shall be as follows:
      (1)   The term of the Sheriff on the Communications Board shall coincide with their elected term.
      (2)   The term of the other person representing the police departments shall initially be for two years, and shall thereafter be for four years.
      (3)   The term for one of the persons representing the Fire Chiefs shall be for one year, and the other for three years, and thereafter the terms for each shall be four years.
      (4)   The term for one of the persons representing the emergency medical providers shall be for two years, and the other for three years, and thereafter the terms for each shall be four years.
      (5)   The Director of the Dearborn County Emergency Management Agency shall be a member of the Communications Board so long as they are appointed Director of the Emergency Management Agency.
   (C)   The Commissioners shall approve the nominations required to be submitted to them or reject any nomination and request the nominating group to submit an additional nomination or nominations for appointment to the Communications Board. The Commissioners may remove any member, except the Sheriff, for cause, the person proposed to be removed as a member shall be entitled to notice and a hearing before the Commissioners within ten days of such notice, if requested by such person. The decision of the Commissioners shall be final and binding.
   (D)   The members of the Communications Board shall serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for their expenses in connection with their service.
