(A) There is hereby established the position of County Communications Coordinator.
(B) The Communications Coordinator shall be employed by the Board of Commissioners and shall be responsible for the operation of the County Communication Center. The Coordinator shall report to the County Communications Board regarding the daily operation of the Center, and shall consult with the Communications Board and Commissioners concerning the policies and procedures for the operation of the Center.
(C) The Communications Coordinator will be compensated in an amount set by the County Commissioners and appropriated by the County Council.
(D) The Communications Coordinator shall be considered a county employee and shall be entitled to all the rights and benefits as other county employees, as established from time to time by the Commissioners and County Council. The Communications Coordinator shall be bound by any personnel policy established by Dearborn County applicable to other county employees.
(E) Compensation for the Communications Coordinator and expenses related to the position and the Communications Board shall be payable from money appropriated from County General Fund and E911 funds available to the county.
