An item received by a secondhand goods dealer or pawnbroker for which a report to the police is required may not be sold or otherwise transferred for a period of 12 days after the date of such report to the police. However, an individual may redeem an item pawned 72 hours after the item was received on deposit, excluding Sundays and legal holidays.
